Writers as Readers

Writers as Readers

When I read I need the following things: a quiet and comfy

environment, and a good book.

I am interested in writing fiction. The reason that fiction

interest me is because of the thought that you can make

something unreal seem realistic through your writing. Even

though some nonfiction books are okay, I just like to be able

to create a whole new world through my fiction writing.  It

doesn't have to be based on a real life story, it just has to read

realistically in your mind.

Lets just say that I didn't have the easiest childhood. My best

memories connected with reading were from when I used my

reading to escape from my life into a whole new world.

I think that someone who reads a lot would become a

stronger writer because reading helps bring out people's

imagination. I definitely think that we pick up a lot from

themes and etc. from the books we read because it helps us

get an idea of we want to say and how we want to say it.

I might write a book someday. It might be a story based on

my life growing up or a fictional story that I make up. I would

want to be described on the "About the Author" section as: an

outgoing person who against all odds became a writer.

  1. I love that Maya Angelou quote! I do hope you write a book someday--I know you have a lot to say...
