Kids are cruel whether through words or actions. A voice always there to tell you that you something demeaning. An inner strength that they might see that you lack will be the strength that will lift you in times of uncertainty. A sweet memory that might take you away from their cruel world into your own heaven. Like a pack of dogs they surround you but when you find your inner strength you remain standing in the middle and rise above them, bigger and stronger. Letting their hurtful words turn into hot air and float away. Don't let my looks fool you, I have been one of their victims in the past but would not stand for it in the future.
That last line has such strength and conviction...I have to say it's even tougher to see how cruel kids can be to one another from a mother's perspective. You mess with my cub, the mama bear claws are coming out! :)
