I am
an American citizen
of Russian decent.
a daughter, the
favorite of my mother, lucky to be the runt of the litter.
a sister, the
youngest of seven biological siblings, and two siblings through adoption.
a niece to three
aunts, going to Florida on vacation to spend time with family, enjoying the
days spent with my ten chinese adopted cousins.
a high school
student with big hopes and dreams for the future, learning how to drive,
learning how to deal with the cards you were dealt.
I am
grilled steak and
potatoes, sunflower seeds, gummi bears and sour neon worms.
zebra striped
bedding and blinged out wall decorations, white stuffed bengal tiger.
planning on being a
vet tech or a dog groomer.
family photos, pet
photos, sports photos, ribbons of achievement and a medal of dedication.
short stories,
poems, drawings, TV, and county music
country, horseback
riding, stables, hay, and a pitchfork.
I am
blonde, blue eyes,
fair skin.
short but not a midget,
thin but not anorexic.
hoop earrings, bling
t-shirts, blue jeans and heels, eye liner and lip gloss.
approaching adult
hood, too many responsibilities.
young, but have
experienced life’s many lessons, taught myself “life is harsh, get over it.”
Hi Christina! Thanks for creating a blog. Your title "bleeding heart" is such an interesting one--I see the flowers there but also, of course, associate that expression with those who are willing to sacrifice for others or who continually show compassion for those who need it, whether they deserve it or not. I think that's a great quality to have. I'm glad you included your Russian descent in this piece. Something that makes you interesting and something you can be proud of. I look forward to seeing what else you post to your blog...
