It rises with the tide yet sets with the sun,
Another day no harm is done.
It can sweep you away into its merciless waters,
Like an unforeseen power it slaughters his daughters.
Getting caught in its powerful hold
Will make desperation seem so bold
On sunny days it might not stir,
Might even smell like a bottle of myrrh.
It changes it's tide like a girl changes shoes,
Some might say it has a short fuse.
It has power mixed with grace,
It can make a king or queen his ace.
In the end the tide will choose,
Of whether to slaughter or whether to amuse.
